A traditional Jewish silversmith with a flair for modern design
Avshalom Haddad is descended from a line of Jewish silversmiths who were past masters of traditional craft techniques. Family specialities included intricate 19th-century Yemenite pilgrim decorations and silver filigree work. Avshalom inherited these ancient traditions and continues them today with his fine art silver Judaica. The family business Silver Wei employs jewelers and artisans from three generations, bringing a wealth of specialist knowledge and practical experience.
Avshalom Haddad also loves designing modern Judaica products. The creative processes are the same, but the materials and styles can be radically different. The Silver Wei studio produces outstanding modern Judaica with the same love and attention to detail that it lavishes on traditional Jewish silverware.
