It is a building in the east of the city of Hebron. According to Jewish tradition and scripture, the cave is the burial place of Adam and Eve, the fathers of the nation Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the mothers of the nation Sarah, Rebecca and Leah (Rachel was buried in Rachel’s tomb in Bethlehem). It is one of the most sacred places for Judaism and is also sacred in Islam.

Eventually Shalom found his way to formal art studies at Sapir University in Southern Israel, graduating in 2009. He remains fascinated by the history, spirituality and sanctity of Jerusalem, as well the millennia of historical treasures buried beneath Israel’s soil.
