This stunning two-tone Natlah (ritual hand-washing cup) by artist Michal Ben Yosef is handcrafted of ceramic. It features two-handles, an eggplant-colored base, and a speckled, sand-tone top portion. The phrase “Al Netilat Yadayim” – taken from the blessing recited while washing one’s hands before eating bread– forms the central decorative motif of that natlah and is displayed in Hebrew, in several color variations. Michal regards her Judaic art pieces as treasures, and employs great care and precision into their design. She incorporates verses from the Holy Scriptures and spiritual and nature-based symbols and motifs into these creations.
